Censoring

I believe that censoring high schoolers is wrong. People need to know the truth and educate themselves about things in history. If we do not learn from our mistakes in history, it will repeat itself. The rape of Nanking is a good example, the japanese tried to cover it up and if you talk about it in japan you could get arrested. Also the bataan death march is not talked about in U.S. history books or in classrooms. The bataan death march was about 75,000 american soldiers surrendering to the japanese. The japanese then made the soldiers walk 60 miles through harsh environments and about 6,000-11,000 soldiers died. If the soldier stopped moving or fell a japanese soldier would behead them.
